Finally this was my 7th time in Portugal. Since I already opened up a few Portugal City galleries some months ago, I decided only to pick out the best shots in order not to bore you. Since most of them are photos with nature in the foreground, you can find the gallery in this section.

Mount Gambier
Updated Tue, 19 Aug 2008 Added Tue, 19 Aug 2008

Mount Gambier is one of Australia's youngest volcanos. It is known for its four lake-filled maars from which Blue Lake is the most popular. The blue colour of this lake is caused by a special chemical composition due to which the light is refracted in such a way that the water gets its deep blue colour.

Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon, USA
Updated Sat, 16 Aug 2008 Added Thu, 13 Sep 2007

Everybody knows about the Grand Canyon and if you have been there you know why. The sheer enormity becomes clear when talking about the dimensions: 450 km in length, 6 to 30 km in width and 1800 m deep. Bryce Canyon in the Southwest of Utah is even more amazing. Its unique shape and the special geological structure, the so called Hoodoos, make it so remarkable and distinctive. The elevation is much higher than the one of the Grand Canyon and ranges from 2400 to 2700 meters.

Macromatic
Updated Mon, 18 Feb 2008 Added Mon, 18 Feb 2008

This is kind of a different nature gallery as it shows Macro photography of various objects. However, tot every single picture shows these extremely close views but this is more or less a collection of photos which did not fit anywhere else.
